The Air-O-Swiss Ultrasonic humidifiers are nicely designed with a transparent, easy-to-remove cover and convenient controls. A high frequency vibration generates your choice of warm or cool micro-fine mist and a demineralization cartridge prevents white dust. The Air-O-Swiss 7135 features a built-in hygrostat/hygrometer with digital display controls and output regulator button for optimal performance. Also included are a demineralization cartridge and a silver ionic stick to help keep the water pure by killing bacteria and viruses. Care of AIR-O-SWISS 7135 Ultrasonic Warm & Cool Mist Humidifiers
Cleaning: The tank should be cleaned regularly with water (no detergents) once a week during use. If you are operating the machine with the preheating function, clean every two weeks. Use decalcification agents (see EZCal below) to remove deposits from the fogging chamber (evaporation chamber). Rinse thoroughly and dry.
Replacements: The ionic silver stick is a unique, patented solution for killing bacteria and viruses and needs to be replaced approximately once a year. For information on how the ionic silver stick works, (Click here for more information). The demineralization cartridge prevents the build up of mineral residues or white dust and should be replaced every 2-3 months. If the water you are using is very hard, it may be necessary to replace the cartridge more frequently.
The following situations could contribute to excessive white dust so are recommended to be avoided:
Using water that has been treated by a water softening system could result in an increased incidence of white dust due to the excess sodium in the softened water. Therefore, it is recommended to use water that bypasses the system, bottled, or distilled water.
Use of this product with a negative ionizer air purifier or air cleaner with an optional post ionizing function could contribute to an increased collection of dust on surfaces. If this occurs try operating this product without the negative ionizer air purifier or with the optional ionizing function on the air cleaner off.

I will be entering my fourth season using the same Air-0-Swiss 7135 humidifier. This immediately tells you something about its reliability and my satisfaction with the product. It garners our Category Winner Award in the humidifiers category and for some very good reasons.
Pluses:
It is almost noiseless, and therefore is a humidifier that my husband can live with in our bedroom. It is strategically placed so as to reduce his snoring and my tendency to sinus infections.
It humidifies a good sized master bedroom quite quickly, so we do not need to keep it running 24/7, although we sometimes do in the dead of winter.
It is light enough to make filling it up a relatively easy process even if you have little upper arm strength. It is not a top fill which would be my first choice, but refilling is not onerous and it lasts at least 24 hours.
It offers the option of cool and warm mist. Since we live in the Northeast I choose the warm mist option as it results in a humidity which is pleasantly warm rather than cool.
Even though I use it on warm mist, because of the demineralization cartridge I do not have any white dust around my bedroom. I might add that we do not have hard water and for those with very hard water you might have to change the cartridge more often. The Air-O-Swiss air washer might also be a better choice.
I also can rest easy that this humidifier is not spewing out bacteria into the air because the water is sterilized using a patented ionic stick. We are so impressed with the ionic stick, we recommend it as an accessory for other humidifiers.
Minuses:
Costs a little more than the average humidifier but worth the money
Need to replace demineralization cartridge but only once per season
Summary:
So all in all I think this humidifier gets the job done and I have no complaints and would recommend it to others without hesitation. It is not without note to reveal that we have the highest customer satisfaction with this brand as evidenced by the lowest level of returns. Our customers like this humidifier and we agree with them.
