The Pet Machine™ uses HEPA technology to trap airborne dust and dander, while the special carbon blend will help reduce many pet odors that stubbornly linger in the air. Features of The Pet Machine Air Purifier

- 360° Progressive 4 Stage Filtering System:
- STAGE 1 - Large Particle Pre-filter removes particles easily seen by the naked eye (e.g. dust, hair and pet dander).
- STAGE 2 - Medium particle pre-filter removes small to medium size particles (e.g. molds, spores and pollen).
- STAGE 3 - 15 lbs. of Specially mixed carbons and zeolite blend reduces odors caused by pets and other chemicals, gases, and odors (e.g. ammonia and sulfuric acid).
- STAGE 4 - 60 ft. of true medical grade HEPA removes pet allergens such as dander and dust, as well as thousands of other micro-organisms (e.g. bacteria and viruses) at a 99.97% efficiency down to 0.3 microns.
- Long Filter Life: The 4 filters are rated to last 5 years under normal used. This claim is backed by Austin Air’s 5 year pro-rated filter warranty. It is recommended to vacuum the pre-filters every three months or so to maintain filter efficiency. Vacuuming can be done from the outside of the unit.
- Ease of mobility: Mounted on 4 casters for easy transportation from room to room. Not easy to carry up or down stairs.
- Low energy use: Uses little energy even on its highest setting - 135 watts at the highest setting.
- Fan: The Pet Machine features a centrifugal fan with 3-speeds, low, medium and high. It is control via a rotary dial on the front of the unit.
- Air Flow: Features a 360° air intake system and clean air flows out from one side and the upper deck outlet.
- Housing: All steel construction, finished with a baked-on powder coat - will not off-gas.

The Pet Machine air purifier is fundamentally the same unit as the Austin Air Healthmate and Healthmate Plus, except for its 15lb. carbon mixture which includes much more zeolite and a special additive which improves its ability to absorb the smell of ammonia.
Pluses:
- Great air purifier for pet owners thanks to the unique carbon blend with a special additive designed especially to absorb ammonia based pet odors.
- You can expect excellent filtration from this unit with its quality 4 stage filtration process and 360° air intake. For best results we recommend placing the unit next to the source of odor and allergens.
- It features 4 casters so it can easily be roll from room to room if you decide to change the location of your pets cage or litter box.
- Capable of filtering large areas up to 625 sq.ft.
- Minimal maintenance – filters only require replacement every 5 years under normal use. We do recommend vacuuming the pre-filter every 3 months to help the unit work more efficiently. PERMAfilt pre-filter is designed to be vacuumed from the outside of the air purifier.
- Excellent 5 year warranty leaves you confident you have a quality product that is backed by its manufacturer.
- Austin Air air purifiers have all been UL, CSA and CE approved.
Minuses:
- Not as quiet as some of the other air cleaners we carry.
- Does not have a filter change indicator so you have to keep track of how long the filters have been in use.
