The Carthage Collection, woven in Italy, is made from the finest soft 400 thread count Egyptian cotton, has a luscious and generous, embroidered detail. The embroidered design was inspired by Carthage, an opulent ancient naval port which dominated the Mediterranean for over a thousand years. Embroidered colors which include copper or sapphire, use the ancient but distinctive patterning on a very dark crème percale, an overall effect which would appeal to both men and women. The sheets are generously cut to accommodate up to 18 inch deep mattresses, and the shams and pillow cases are constructed with French flap closures for a neat fit.
