How it Works — Clean Home Essentials Mini Dehumidifier
Peltier Technology:
Inside the unit contains two ceramic plates, where the power heats up one ceramic plate and then cools the other ceramic plate. As air enters the unit, it is transferred from the heated ceramic plate and then moves over to the cool ceramic plate. This is where condensation occurs and water then drops into the water reservoir.

Our tester has a small bathroom with no windows or ventilation. The perfect area for mold and mildew to attack all surfaces and make the time spent shower uncomfortable. Add an extremely humid summer day and we have the perfect storm. This was the ideal time to see what the Mini-Dehumidifier can do.
Pluses:
The lightweight, compact unit made it very easy to stow in the corner away from water and walking area
Since the tester’s bathroom has poor ventilation there was a small problem with mold and air quality in the past, especially on those humid days. While running throughout the day, the mini-dehumidifier provided much improvement in air quality
There was a significant decrease with the amount of steam in the bathroom while showering
After showering the tester’s walls and towels were always wet and damp for some time. After running the mini-dehumidifier, everything in the bathroom began to dry quicker. Was great for drying out the towels so they weren’t still damp the next time they needed to be used!
An added plus while using throughout the day in a bathroom is the unit didn’t produce any heat and used very little energy cost as compared to larger dehumidifiers
Minuses:
Since the unit does not use a compressor, the small unit will struggle when removing the heaviest of the moisture
Only suitable for a very small room or area
Summary:
Our tester was very pleased with how effective the unit’s unique Peltier technology performed in her small bathroom (despite the unit’s small size). It was perfect since there was no room for a large, bulky dehumidifier. There was no more need to quickly perform tasks in order to leave an uncomfortable humid and moldy bathroom. After continuously running the mini-dehumidifier our tester was able to now withstand her bathroom!
