To keep your air conditioning unit working efficiently, you should clean the dust filter every week of operation. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust collected on the filter. If the dust filter is very dirty, immerse in warm water and rinse a number of times. After washing, leave the filter to dry. Do not wash the 3M electrostatic filter when it is worn-out: change it with a new filter.

This portable air conditioner is a first for us at AllergyBuyersClub.com. Not only does the unit provide 11,000 BTUs of cooling but can dehumidify up to 60 pints of water per day and remove unwanted particles from the air all in one easy-to-use unit! You most certainly get the most for your buck.
Pluses:
We were very impressed with how easy it was to understand and operate the variety of functions (cooling, dehumidification and air filtration) and multitude of features and modes
We take much care to inspect all accessories and noticed the different design on the window kit as compared to kits offered with other air conditioning units. Instead of using the traditional technique of attaching panels with screws, the Home Essentials 3-in-1 window kit featured small pins to lock in the panels. This made assembling the window portion much quicker and easier
This is the first portable air conditioning unit we have seen with an effective dehumidification function. And an added plus, it comes with a built-in pump that can easily be tucked away within the unit when it is not in use
With its sleek and aesthetically pleasing design, we are confident this unit will fit well in many room decors throughout the year
While testing our products we immediately seek units which operate effectively all while saving energy. With the ½ hour increments on the timer you are able to pin-point your running time, as compared to many other timers which perform in increments of one hour or more resulting in unwanted running time and energy use
Minuses:
Once we took the unit out of the box we immediately noticed the size, which may cause a problem for some. However, the unit features built-in handles, sturdy castor wheels and feet to keep the unit stable
The built-in hygrometer could have been a little more accurate. There was an average of a 5% difference between our testing hygrometer and the unit’s hygrometer
We do not suggest using this as a pure HEPA air filtration system. We found the 3M filter to be loose fitting, which brought down efficiency. Nevertheless, it did decrease the particle count somewhat as compared to when we tested the air quality without the filter. This is a great add-on during those high-pollen count days
Despite the size of the unit, it supplies 11,000 BTUs of cooling power. We were expecting it to operate with more powerful cooling operations
It was a little noisy on the maximum speed but it does offer 2 other speeds as well as a sleep mode that keeps optimal comfort at the quietest speed

Many portable air conditioning units you have to tuck away a usually bulky and heavy unit when the weather starts getting cooler.
