HEPA Filtration: HEPA filtration and wet or dry vacuuming options. Try finding that in a dustbuster handheld!
Long battery life for cordless vacuums: 8-12 minute battery life for this vac compared to 5 minutes for others sold in retail stores.
Great on car upholstery and car mats: The more powerful Dirttamer Ultima picks up leaves, etc. It does not pick up pebble-sized rocks.
Quiet: Strong suction power and the vacuum was much quieter than other cordless vacuum cleaners we tested
Useful included tools: The extendable crevice tool and squeegee were nice extras found in this model and store in the charging base
Warranty: 2 year limited factory. One year longer than with other handheld vacuum brands.
Battery indicator lights: The charge and low battery lights let our testers know when the recharging was done or needed
Headlight: Great for use in the car or under heat registers or in other tight dark spaces
Good performance: We liked this cordless Hepa vacuum cleaner best for cleaning dirt off stairs and crumbs and spills on floors or carpets. We dropped some powdered detergent on the floor - the newer DirtTamer Ultima could handle it.
Minuses:
Slightly heavier than other cordless vacs: We found this cordless vacuum a bit heavier than others we tested. It was more cumbersome to use overhead on blinds and in ceiling corners. This handheld may be too heavy for someone with arthritis.
Only useful for small pick-ups: Does not replace regular vacuum cleaner. In cars, not ideal for piles of floor debris built up on car carpet in winter.
Filter life: Hepa filter gets clogged quickly
Battery life limitation: the battery only holds a charge for 8-12 minutes
Debris removal system: Manually shake or wash out dirt and debris from the cup
