Turns on a dime: Dyson Ball™ technology allows the vacuums to steer smoothly with little effort from the operator. The motor is inside the ball, giving the machine a low center of gravity making it even easier to steer.
No loss of suction: the patented Dyson Root Cyclone™ technology offer excellent suction that doesn’t lose power as you vacuum. The Root Cyclone™ technology separates dirt from the air by centrifugal force and offers 45% more suction than the older Dyson Dual Cyclone vacuums.
Motorized brush bar: powerful bristles remove dirt and pet hair from carpets. Push button on/off button located at handle base.
Hygienic and quick to empty: just press the button at the top of the cyclone dust bin and the dust empties out from the bottom.
Cyclone Dust bin: constructed of tough polycarbonate, it is clear so you can see when it needs to be emptied. Wipe the bin clean as needed with a damp cloth.
Washable lifetime HEPA filter: designed to trap allergens down to 0.3 microns including pollen and bacteria, and expel cleaner air. Wash filter every 3 months.

Though the power head is compact it is not designed to be able to reach under furniture
Because the vacuums do not have carpet height or suction adjustment, they may not be able to be used on particular types of carpets or rugs
With Dyson's user-friendly focus, we would have liked to have seen finger-tip controls located on the vacuum handle
Summary:
We were not sure what to expect when we tested the new Dyson Ball™ DC24 and DC25 vacuum cleaners, and as a result we were pleasantly surprised. The dynamics of the Ball™ technology truly reduced the amount of effort need to control and maneuver the vacuums around the house. We were impressed by the suction power of these vacuums, and their ability to pick-up pet hair was one of the best we have seen. We would have liked the vacuums to have a suction adjustment or carpet height adjustment because the strong suction made it difficult to use on small rugs and you would not be able to use them on delicate carpet types such as Frieze. The washable HEPA filter does a good job capturing particles and expelling clean air back into the room. This filter will also last the lifetime of the vacuum and requires cleaning every 3 months. On top of having washable filters, these vacuums are also bagless which means no replacement costs and extra money in our pockets! We recommend the Dyson vacuums for houses that have lots of carpeting; however the brush bar can be turned off for use on bare floors. The DC24 is extremely light and would be a good choice for multiple levels home.
