Latex is a common term for the sap of the rubber tree that can contain stabilizers, bonding agents, petroleum based products and chemicals. Natural rubber does not need these elements and chemicals because it is molded the same day that it is harvested. This pillow is 97% natural rubber with natural zinc and soda ash to ensure it keeps its form.
Our testers are pleased with natural rubber because it is extremely durable and elastic. These will not lose their loft or original shape like wool or cotton pillows. Our testing team loved the flexibility of the standard pillow with shredded rubber filling! It is great for you if you are someone who wants to bunch and re-shape your pillow. Please keep in mind that although the shredded rubber filling is extremely soft and resilient, it does have a slight "lumpy” feel because of all of the rubber pieces.
