A Captain’s bed can function as a handsome daybed in a home office, den or studio apartment, and do double duty as sleeping space when guests come to stay. Sturdily constructed of solid birch with a natural finish, this bed is designed to be safe and durable for a lifetime, with slat roll mattress system and rounded over edges. Hideaway drawers are sturdily built with 5-piece English dovetail construction and European drawer guides and ¼” bottoms, and the middle double drawer adds storage for bulky items such as pillows or blankets. The Captain’s bed is also available with an extra set of drawers for the other side of the bed (see details below).
