The retro styled Germ Guardian ultrasonic humidifiers give you an option of warm and cool mist. New nano-silver technology prevents bacteria and mold build-up in the tank and ensures that the machine disperses ultra clean mist. The Humidifiers are virtually silent and use ultrasonic technology for quiet operation; a perfect bedroom choice. Thankfully, they are maintenance free with no expensive wicks or filters to replace. They also have a low water indicator light to let you know when it is time to refill the water tank. The H2000 model features a manual humidistat. The H3010 Digital model features a digital clock display and programmable humidity timer. 2 year limited warranty.

*The H3010 digital model has replaced the H3000 digital model. Main difference: digital clock display has replaced the digital humidistat and temperature display and the humidistat has been eliminated. They removed the humidistat all together as their research indicated that consumers did not believe it was working. Furthermore, in the middle of winter when it is next to impossible to raise the humidity in a room above 40 to 50 percent consumers thought their unit was broken as it never moved above this point. It is recomended one use a separate hygrometer to measure the actual humidity in the room to monitor the performance of the unit.

Warm or Cool humidification selection: for cold humidification, water temperature is maintained at about 40 degrees. For warm humidification, it is maintained at 80 degrees to disinfect low temperature bacteria

It is recommended that you place the product up and not on the floor. Wash out the unit with fresh water using a cleaning brush and soft cloth. Do not use chemicals or detergents. Gently wipe away debris from the filter with a soft cloth. To clean the ultrasonic disks, remove spray spout and use the enclosed cleaning brush to regularly remove build up and spots from this area. White vinegar will help to prevent this build up.
The following situations could contribute to excessive white dust so are recommended to be avoided:
Using water that has been treated by a water softening system could result in an increased incidence of white dust due to the excess sodium in the softened water. Therefore, it is recommended to use water that bypasses the system, bottled, or distilled water.
Use of this product with a negative ionizer air purifier or air cleaner with an optional post ionizing function could contribute to an increased collection of dust on surfaces. If this occurs try operating this product without the negative ionizer air purifier or with the optional ionizing function on the air cleaner off.

The aesthetically pleasing design and durability of the Germ Guardian humidifiers is sure to be a good fit for small bedrooms, especially your children’s. The use of ultrasonic technology keeps this humidifier virtually silent while running all while providing an ideal humidity level during those dry months. In addition to providing a steady cool mist, you have the option of dispersing a warm mist to maintain an optimal humidity level within any uncomfortable environment.
Pluses:
Very little maintenance! Unlike some of our other humidifiers which need constant changing of filters, cartridges or cleaning of discs, Germ Guardian added nano-silver particles to the nozzle and tank to disinfect and stop mold and bacteria in the water tank. Only maintenance is to quickly clean and rinse the tank periodically.
Once out of the box and taking a first look at the unit, we immediately noticed the strong, durable and sturdy construction of the humidifier. This was ensuring to know that this is a reliable, long-lasting humidifier.
Even on the highest speed it was virtually silent with only the slightest humming noise. We firmly believe one would not be disturbed with unwanted noise while sleeping
We were impressed with the mist output controls and 360 degree direction flow
While packing the unit away after use, we noticed a small compartment to store the power cord out of the way and sight. This is an added benefit when storing the humidifier during those seasons in which it is not needed.
We enjoyed the design and ease of operation and felt these humidifiers would fit well in basically any bedroom décor, especially a child’s room
Minuses:
The tank is rounded and has the handle on the top so it is difficult to balance or set the tank down to fill it
The H2000 manual model does not have a digital display and push button controls
The H3010 model does not have a humidistat
