The Hamilton Beach Allergen Reducer is designed to capture large allergen particles, improve the indoor air quality in a small room and help alleviate common allergy symptoms at a lower cost for people who have light to medium allergies.
Pluses:
- Reduces large particles: Improves the indoor air quality by trapping dust, dust mite debris, mold spores, pollen and pet dander.
- Trouble free: Filter changes are a breeze! Minimal maintenance is required for the Hamilton Beach Allergen Reducer.
- Lightweight & small: This machine takes up little space and only weighs 5.5 lbs, which makes it extremely easy to carry. This is small enough to bring with you on vacation.
- Great value: The Allergen Reducer helps improve the indoor air quality of a small room for a small price! Filter replacements are also a small expense in comparison to some air purifiers.
Minuses:
- Not Hepa: The Allergen Reducer is effective for capturing large particles only. The airflow rate also decreases as the filter becomes clogged. We do not recommend this for strong gases, odors or someone who needs serious asthmatic attention or has multiple chemical sensitivities.
- Only covers a small area: This machine should not be used to cover areas over 210 sq. ft.
- Slightly louder than a computer (on low): It is approximately the same noise level as a portable fan on the low-speed setting. The high-speed setting is loud, therefore we recommend turning it on high when you are not in the room and lowering it when you are in the room.
