• Long filter life - with the IQAir Cleanroom H13 air purifier set at low speed, the HEPA filter can last up to 4.5 years without being changed, and the pre-filter will last between 1-2 years

This air purifier uses the same technology as the IQAir Healthpro, and it works this way: it takes in air from the bottom of the unit, the air is passed through the pre-filter, then through the fan, then through the HEPA filter media, and the clean air is vented out of the sides just below the top of the unit.

The IQAir Cleanroom H13 unit has an air intake, air outlet diffuser, pre-filter, a HEPA filter, and a high-performance centrifugal fan to ensure maximum clean air delivery. • One of the big pluses of the IQair Cleanroom H13 air purifier is its filter life. Set at high speed, the HEPA filter will last an average of 3 years, and the pre-filter will last 1 year. The real beauty is that set at low speed, the HEPA filter can last up to 4.5 years, and the pre-filter between 1-2 years. This is ideal for those who appreciate a low maintenance air purifier.
• This machine was designed for critical decontamination environments, and is able to filter viruses, bacteria, and allergens faster than other air purifiers. All filters are anti-microbial filters.
• As with other IQAir machines, the IQAir H13 model not only excels clean air delivery rates, but the efficiency of the machine that we have personally tested is almost 100% which means that almost all the air that goes through the machine comes out clean.
• Quieter "Red label" fan: The IQair air purifier has at its core a 700 cfm, 2950 rpm rated fan. That is twice as powerful as any other fan in any other air purifier on our site. • The IQAir Cleanroom H13 is perfect for high recontamination areas, such as a medical or hospital waiting room where the air is constantly being refilled with bacteria and viruses. You would want and need the fastest clean air delivery rate possible to prevent cross-infection.
• Our consumer panel liked that this IQAir unit is similar to others, since it lets you know when any of the filters need changing. This optimizes cost and safety when it is critically important to provide clean air, but cost efficient to not replace the filter until necessary. Most people are using air filters that have out lived their useful life, but this sophisticated IQAir filter monitoring system takes the guesswork out of knowing when each filter needs replacing.
• One of the biggest pluses we saw was the quality of the pre-filter in this air purifier is one of the best in the industry. • A top of the line air purifier such as the IQAir Cleanroom H13 is expensive, and perhaps more than most consumers would need in a home environment. But, in critical environments such as when someone is very ill and can't risk cross-contamination from other sources, it is extremely useful.
• Like all powerful air filters, this air purifier is fairly noisy on high speed, so you probably want to use it on high speed when you are not in the room. However, we understand that there may be some situations in which high speed is always needed for maximum decontamination and clean air quality.
• Unlike most IQ Air models the H13 does not come standard with casters. Extension base with wheels is optional.
