A parquet floor brush is included standard with all Miele S5 series vacuum cleaners and its genuine horsehair bristles ensure your tiled and wood floors are cleaned gently but effectively. The Miele Callisto vacuum features sharp Euro styling, a silence setting for the quietest vacuuming you have ever experienced, rubber bumpers to protect your furniture, and an extra long 29.5 foot vacuuming range. This vacuum will also never overheat as the safety shut off protects the motor. Pluses:
Excellent value for the price. This may be the end model of S5 series but you would never know it other than the lack of some luxury features. It has the same great Miele construction and cleaning power.
The Pisces is equipped with an Active HEPA filter and sealed system design so you can breathe easy as you vacuum.
Without sacrificing the Pisces sleek look, Miele was thinking of your walls' safety by integrated rubber PVC bumper guards into the front, back and sides of the Pisces.
We like the decrease in noise, thanks to the S5’s silence insulation.
The S5’s come standard with the new Parquet Floor brush, with a new improved swivel design which is most helpful when cleaning in hard to reach areas like under the bed. The Parquet Floor Brush has been redesigned with shorter natural bristles and spaces between the bristle sections to provide for maximum suction and longer life.
The Pisces also comes standard with the air powered Turbo brush to sufficiently clean your area and scatter rugs. The Turbo brush is a great complement to the Parquet floor brush.
We love the larger 4.67 qt. dust bags for their longer use and increased efficiency.
Pisces has a convenient dust bag change indicator to alert you when the bag is full and needs to be replaced.
Pisces is easily maneuverable and weighs in at 13.5 lbs. (not including a floor tool) allowing it to be carried upstairs with minimal effort.
Minuses:
The Pisces is only available with the Turbo brush and Parquet floor brush, so if you have lots of carpet, this is not the vacuum for you. The Turbo brush is powered by air flow and will not provide the deep cleaning suction of an electric power brush.
Lack of a direct connect wand and electric hose prevents the Pisces from accommodating a Miele electric power brush.
Pisces is not a luxury model, so it lacks convenient +/- finger tip suction controls. It only has a manual rotary dial suction adjustment located on the canister. You must bend down to adjust the suction.
The Pisces does not have a filter change indicator.
Summary:
The Pisces may be the end model of the S5 series, but it still earned its 4-Star rating. The Pisces is no doubt an excellent value for the price. Despite the lack of luxury features like +/- finger tip suction controls, filter change indicator and direct connect wand with an electrical hose, the Pisces still stands strong boosting its respectable Miele construction and cleaning power. Like all the other S5 models, the Pisces provides its users with an Active HEPA filter, large and very efficient 4.76 qt. HyClean dust bag, dust bag change indicator, sealed system design, silence insulation, integrated rubber PVC bumpers guards and ability to fit with multiple floor tools and accessories. Pisces is packaged with the parquet floor brush and air-powered turbo brush making this vacuum great for homes with bare flooring and thin scatter rugs.
