Wool fiber is naturally fire resistant so no flame retardant chemicals need to be applied. The wool is naturally pigmented, so there are no harsh dyes or pigments added. Most wool carpet and rug manufacturers still rely on synthetic polypropylene backings and adhesives. These all wool rugs feature a natural jute fiber backing and the carpet is constructed with hemp, cotton, and natural rubber adhesives. All natural rubber gripper pads for use beneath these area rugs are also available. The pads provide extra comfort underfoot and help keep your rug in place. These beautiful rugs and pads do not release harmful gases into your home environment and will improve your indoor air quality.
