The P3 International P0270 Mold Alert Thermometer/Hygrometer will display accurate and constant indoor air temperature and humidity throughout your home. This compact unit also has a dew-point readout which will indicate the comfort level and the likelihood of moisture to occur on the surfaces in your home. Its unique feature is the Mold Alert function which is an audible/visible alarm that will sound when the humidity level reaches 65% and will remain until it is lowered. Sustained humidity at these levels will likely result in mold, mildew and moisture with possible surface damage, dust mites, insects, bacteria, and human discomfort. Product Usage
Suggestions for placement of the unit:
There is an opening on the back of the unit, which allows it to be easily hung from the wall. In addition, a base is provided for the unit to be placed on any surface in a standing position.
Since the humidity level within rooms can vary greatly, the Mold Alert should be placed in an area most likely subject to mold growth. Problem areas are often basements, closets, surfaces near windows and exterior walls. Anywhere in a home that is damp or has suffered from water damage is also a prime location for mold growth.

We were impressed on how easy it was to use the Mold Alert with its large digital display of the present air temperature and humidity and the added feature of the dew-point to evaluate potential comfort and health issues. The visible and audible alarm is great to have so as you do not need to worry if the humidity is getting dangerously high. Furthermore, the Max/Min temperature and humidity function enables one to monitor the performance of their humidity and temperature appliances for a specified period and retest them with a simple reset button.
