How it Works — Plasma 14,000 and 16,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioners
During the cooling process, the patented Evaporative Booster Technology extracts some water from the air as it passes through the unit. Most of the water is evaporated while hot air is exhausted through an exhaust tube that connects to a window panel accessory. The small amount of water accumulated is actually used to cool the unit internally, making it run more efficiently for the long run. For those exceptionally humid days a built-in water tank takes in excess water (not removable) and once the tank fills the compressor will stop running to prevent damage to the unit. A drain outlet is used to remove all excess water. An internal thermostat helps save energy and conveniently maintains optimal comfort.
Care of Plasma 14,000 and 16,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioners
The length of the exhaust hose is specially designed according to the specification of the product. Do not add additional hoses to the standard hose given as it could cause the unit to malfunction.
To clean the filters, simply remove from the unit and vacuum with standard vacuum cleaner. Never operate the unit without a filter
