- S-Class filtration: A 3 stage filtration system meets US HEPA standards for filtering out smaller than 0.3 micron particles with 99.9% efficiency - appreciated for those with allergies or asthma
- Telescopic Wand: Sebo canister vacuum cleaners offer a telescoping wand at a lower price than other brands; this flexible feature makes it easier to take advantage of the many hand tools that are easier to change thanks to an adjustable wand
- Easy to change vacuum bag: Simply push a button on the canister body, and the access door will pop open; the bag easily slides out thanks to it's plastic opening, for quick replacement
- Larger than standard vacuum bag: 1.4 gallon capacity vacuum bag is impressive for a midsize canister vacuum; great for those will larger homes or pets, since it will allow for longer vacuum time in between bag changes
- Onboard tool caddy: Includes 3 tools that are stored neatly away inside the canister - available at the push of a button which pops the lid of the caddy open; 3 high grade, specialized tools fit snugly in place and snap on and off the vacuum wand easily
- Wand park system: Allows the turbohead nozzle to rest upright against the vacuum cleaner facilitating neat storage; not all vacuums offer this appreciated feature - there is only a one point connection at the rear of the canister
- Automatic Retractable Cord: At the push of a large button on the canister, the cord quickly and smoothly winds back into place inside the canister
- Separate parquet floor brush: This included bare floor brush has a unique design with ridges that allows for airflow through the brush, offering greater suction and effectiveness on floors
- Quiet on low speed: Quieter than most vacuums - consistent with noise level found in high grade machines
- Dust bag change indicator: A light on the canister will light up when the vacuum bag is full
- Canister bumper guard: the bumper guard has a thin piece of fabric around it so it helps to prevent marks on walls or furniture; it served well to protect furniture while we moved the vacuum from place to place
- Generous warranty: 5 years on non-wear parts is a longer than usual warranty given with a new vacuum cleaner
- Good vacuum manufacturer reputation: Sebo has an excellent reputation for durability and reliability; we've sold Sebo vacuums for several years with high customer satisfaction and almost zero returns
Minuses:
- Hose connection does not swivel: although the wheels rotate 360°, this vacuum does not give as much maneuverability as some others we've seen with swiveling hose connections
- No fingertip controls: All motor controls are on the canister at floor level, however the controls are very large buttons, and easy to step on instead of having to bend over; only vacuums at about $1,000 or more offer fingertip controls
- 2 point wand parking not offered: not space friendly in small closets since you can't park the turbohead nozzle while the vacuum is stored on its bottom; some vacuums offer 2 point wand parking, which is our preference for a canister
- No automatic dust seal for vacuum bags: when changing vacuum bags, one must plug the hole in the vacuum bag with a provided dust disc; because the separate dust "discs" can get lost, we wish this model had the convenience of self-closing dust seal vacuum bags offered with other vacuums. The manufacturer recommends taping the dust disc to the inside lid so that it's there when you need to change the vacuum bag.
Summary:
We were impressed by the Sebo air belt C2.1 vacuum cleaners for outstanding cleaning power, first-class filtering systems, easy snap on tools, and, of course, ease of use. Since we've had such high customer satisfaction for several years selling other models from this manufacturer, we trust the company that stands behind the name Sebo.
