Introduction to Smoke Particulate Screen Check (SPSC)

The do-it-yourself specially designed Smoke Particulate Screen Check kit is an economical way to analyze the carbon based smoke particulate within the home. Each year, deadly wildfires cause many natural resources within the forests to turn into hazardous materials and pollute the ambient air. The results can cause numerous health effects ranging from itchy eyes to reduced lung function. Odors, discoloration and "ghosting" effects within the home can result when carbon black and combustion byproducts are deposited on the building or within the interior. If your home is damaged by such fires, proof of these conditions may be required by property insurance companies. Fortunately, particulate sampling can be performed with the easy to use Smoke Particulate Screen Check. Within a few days lab results and a report from an AIHA accredited lab will be available. The lab analysis will also alert you on whether or not health based concerns exist and if action is needed for a healthier environment.
