- Benefits of Simulated Light: Waking to light has been known to help people with: sleep disorders, Seasonal Affective Disorder, and reductions in winter weight gain and feelings of irritability or grogginess in the morning.
- Sunrise Feature: At your desired alarm time, special built-in light is activated gradually increasing in intensity according to your choice of intervals of 0, 15, 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes.
- Sunset Feature: Alarm can also be used to simulate a sunset (fading night light) where the light fades out over your selected intervals of 0, 15, 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes.
- High Intensity Krypton Bulb: lasts for 500 hour, produces 96 lumens and draws only 10 watts
- SA-300W Controller: allows you to use any external lamp up to 300 Watts with the Sun Alarm for a brighter sunrise. The controller operates your own lamp in the same manner as the Sun Alarm, simulaling the sunrise and sunset just as the Sun Alarm.
- Alarm Controls: Digital display with adjustable brightness, on/off alarm button with automatic 30 minute shut off feature, 10 minute snooze cycle followed by a 1 minute bright sunrise, and flash button to make light flash on and off at end of sunrise alarm cycle.
- Nap Timer: This feature allows you to set a second alarm time without having to reset your original alarm time, nap timer can be activated at intervals from 15 to 120 minutes.
- AM/FM Radio: Radio feature can be used along with the alarm's simulated sunrise to really wake you up. When radio alarm option is set, radio will turn on at end of the sunrise cycle.
- Flash and Beeper: additional alarm settings for heavy sleepers who need more then just light to wake them. Alarm beeper can be switched on when setting the alarm and will sound at the end of the sunrise cycle.
- Security Light Feature: will automatically turns the lamp on at random intervals to give the impression that someone is at home
- Battery Back-up: will keep your alarm set when there is a power outage
- Controller: Optional controller connects to any regular house lamp up to 300 watts for a brighter sunrise; controller only works in combination with the sun alarm.

- Replacement Bulb: High intensity B-41 krypton replacement bulb with a 500 hour life. Bulb uses 10W of power and produces approximately 96 lumens of light. One FREE replacement bulb is included with the Sun Alarm.
