This makes a wonderful dorm room gift for the college student in your family with allergies. This Tiger air purifier includes a 1-year warranty, a HEPA filter and carbon post filters for up to 2 years of filtration and covers up to 110 sq. ft.

Features of Tiger HEPA Air Purifier

- Automatic Odor Sensor: automatically turns on the 3-speed fan when elevated levels of odor are detected
- Provides good efficiency air filtration for areas up to 110 sq. ft: offers true HEPA filtration for 92% of particles as small as .3 microns including dust, pollen, and smoke
- Negative Ion Generator: Internal ion generator attaches and removes contaminants from the air. This generator produces no ozone and can be turned on and off with the remote control. The blue light indicates that negative ion generator is operating
- Two-stage air filtration and odor control: HEPA filter for particulate filtration and carbon filter for smoke and odor control – replace HEPA and carbon every two years (might be sooner depending upon level of particulate and odor removal)
- Remote Control: battery operated (batteries included) for up to 16 feet from unit; controls power, negative ionization, timer, and speeds
- Three-speeds: low or medium for nighttime usage and high for quick clean
- Dual Phase Timer: ability to set the air purifier to start in one hour or three hours or time the air purifier to run for one hour or three hours

- Portable: the Tiger Air Purifier is lightweight and easy to carry
- Efficiency: unit tested at 92% efficiency for particulate removal

- Quiet Operation: quiet on low setting; medium equivalent to window air conditioner on low and on high equivalent to window air conditioner on high

- Low Maintenance: affordable replacement filter set
Minuses:
- Unfortunately, the Tiger Air Purifier is only suitable for 110 sq. ft.
- We like the idea of using the blue night light, however, it only works when negative ion generator is on
Summary:
We were impressed with this new entry from Japan. The Tiger Air Purifier's great high-tech styling, two-stage filtration with HEPA and carbon, and an optional negative ion generator makes this air purifier an excellent choice for a small bedroom or office. Better yet, the Tiger is a low maintenance machine that is affordable to purchase and to maintain!
