How it Works — Verilux Cleanwave UV-C Sanitizing Sweepers
CleanWave® Sanitizing Technology - When bacteria, viruses, mold, dust mites, and other allergens are exposed to the Cleanwave UVC light, the DNA in each cell is disrupted, causing the internal structure of the dangerous cells to collapse. Almost instantly, these disease-causing organisms are rendered harmless.
Effective exposure times to UVC light varies, but a rule of thumb is to allow the light to remain on a surface for 10 seconds to destroy most organisms.
Since the UVC light disrupts DNA in cells, it should never be used on pets, plants or food products. It should also never be allowed to shine on human exposed skin or directly into your eyes. This product is equipped with a protective system to turn the UVC light off when the device is turned upward towards the eyes.
