We have always loved natural spectrum light bulbs and were ecstatic to discover them in the form of energy-saving compact fluorescents.
Pluses:
- What’s not to love about every-savings and lower monthly energy bills!
- These bulbs use 1/5th the energy of regular light bulbs
- Excellent source of bright, natural daylight.
- Works with most all standard fixtures
- They have a long life span of up to 10,000 hrs which reduces our replacement costs and landfill waste
- Nice variety of bulb styles and wattages so you can outfit your whole house
- Verilux donates $1 to national environmental organizations for every package sold
Minuses:
- These bulbs can not be used with dimmers of any kind
- There is a slight delay before these bulbs reach their full brightness
- If you are use to the soft white light produced from incandescent bulbs, the light produced from these bulbs may seem very bright (it may take a few days to get use to)
Summary:
These are the most efficient and brightest light bulbs we have come across. They provide the natural spectrum daylight we love, delivering excellent lighting that is easy on our eyes and depicts true colors. Not to mention, these are compact fluorescent bulbs which use 1/5th the energy of incandescent bulbs, reducing monthly energy usage and costs!
