These dehumidifiers are very affordable given all the features they offer. They will remove moisture down to 50°F, have washable and reusable air filters, and they are Energy Star rated for efficiency. The most exciting feature of all is their programmable humidistat which displays exact humidity level accurately along with temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, and lets the user set the desired humidity level with easy to use push buttons.

Pluses:
- Operate down to 50°F: dehumidifiers run in lower temperature ranges than some other similarly priced units sold in retail stores. Please note that these models are considered entry-level in the low temperature dehumidifier market
- Energy efficient: These dehumidifiers are energy star rated which translates into cost savings on energy bills
- Programmable humidistat and temperature display: very useful to control the exact humidity level accurately
- Washable air filter: in addition to removing moisture from the air, these dehumidifiers filter the incoming air
- 3 water drainage options: either use the bucket, garden hose or the direct drain
- Lighter weight: dehumidifiers are slightly lighter in weight than other units in the market and roll easily on 4 casters
Minuses:
- The dehumidifiers are still heavy to bring up and down stairs
- Water removal bucket not as well made as other brand dehumidifiers - not as sturdy, so bucket needs to be carried with two hands for emptying
- The plastic housing on these dehumidifiers is a bit thinner than we would have liked, but will not rust
- Does not come with a condensate pump. We did find an auxiliary pump that works well with these dehumidifiers and sell it below
- No duct kit is available for the dehumidifiers
- The packaging of these dehumidifiers is not as robust as we would like for shipping protection, which increases the likelihood of units arriving damaged
Summary:
These Millennium Low Temp dehumidifiers offer easy to use, lower temperature operation at an affordable price! The electronic control display with a humidistat you can set to your desired humidity level set these dehumidifiers apart from the crowd. We tested them in New England during the winter and found the low temperature operation to be accurate. We were hoping for more humidity, but this winter it was hard to find. We had to add our own to the basement room and the unit performed up to our expectations for moisture removal as well.
Note: There are certain cases when other variables (outside temperature, geographic location, etc) might make Ebac dehumidifiers a better choice than these pint dehumidifiers. For example, if the temperatures in a basement are going to be consistently below 60 degrees, it is a large area, and the room is not insulated like an unfinished basement, dehumidifiers without the "hot gas defrost" feature will have trouble keeping up with removing the moisture in the room.
