Adapter kit for installing the Aquasana AQ-4000 water filtration system under the sink, out of the way. Instead of attaching to your kitchen faucet, and sitting on the counter-top...this kit allows you to neatly and easily install the filter system under the sink and mount a deluxe chrome push button faucet for dispensing filtered water.
The AQ-4000 Filter System is sold separately.
Comes complete with mounting bracket, "T" adapter for cold water line, deluxe chrome push button faucet with color coded tubing illustrated instructions. Pluses:

Minuses:
- If you want to install this water filter under the counter you must purchase the Under-sink Conversion Kit and have it professionally installed by a licensed plumber
- No color choices - it is only available in the color white
- Filter must be changed twice a year depending on water quality
- Filter is not washable - this means more filter replacements for those in areas where there is a lot of particles in the water
- Counter top model allows hot water to run through it - must be careful not to let hot water run through the filter because hot water will ruin the filter
Summary:
The Aquasana water filter is an excellent value for the price. This unit can be installed above or below the counter depending on your preference. If you are going to install it under the counter be aware that it does require the conversion kit (sold separately) and will need to be installed by a licensed plumber. However, it will not take up any counter space and the separate water spout saves the filter from allowing hot water run through it. The filter is not washable which make this water purifier maintenance free except for replacing the filter as needed. Because the filter is not washable, we do not recommend it for areas with a lot of silt in the water because it will require frequent filter replacements.
